Android 4.0 Ice Cream
Although Google has released Android 3.0, or Honeycomb, the company is already working on another version of Android phones. Code-named Ice Cream, next Android 4.0 will feature a new 3D graphics engine with OpenGL hardware acceleration, among others.
Google could launch Android 4.0 later this year. This version is nicknamed by Ice Cream, actually replaces the phone operating system Android 2.3-Gingerbread-, not recently launched the Honeycomb (Android 3.0), and oriented tablets. With Android Ice Cream 2.4, Google will unify the developers code for ending the double versions for phones and tablets. The Internet posting suggests an optimization for small devices and tablets between 7 and 10 inches.
Android 4.0 incorporate a new 3D graphics engine renderscript applications, OpenGL hardware acceleration, image stabilization for video calls with Google Talk optimized management of multi-core processors, both of Qualcomm ARM Tegra2 as Nvidia, and manageability of future graphics capabilities included in the graphics processor.
