Google Nexus S with Android 2.3 Gingerbread
This time it was Samsung, Not HTC, the manufacturer selected by Google to build its new device, which will be the first brand with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The Korean, who has strictly followed specifications from google however, Samsung has included its own technology -gloss screens, it well known by users as Samsung Galaxy S.
In fact, in many of its features, the new terminal is quite similar to Galaxy S. Or at least that is apparent from The Google Official Website. The Nexus S is a token “all screen” in which, according to Google, the responses have been enhanced tactile quality of the screen and added, riding the new version of the operating system, several features enhance in general of the phone’s performance.

Among other notable features, Gingerbread is better adapted to run on larger screens, like those of the tablets, but no manufacturer has yet said when it intends to make way for the upgrade.
All curved
All Nexus S, Including the screen is curved, not flat like the rest of the phones. According to Google, it will easy and convenient to have on hand and improve the side-angle screen, facilitating vision.
The new phone runs on the same 1GHz processor that the Samsung Galaxy S (S5PC110A01, called Hummingbird), which ensures terminal excellent speed. It carries two cameras: 5-megapixel back and front for video conferencing in VGA quality. Also the internal memory is the same as the Galaxy S: 16 GB of storage. The terminal can play and record HD video to 720 pixels.
However, to meet the specifications of Google, Samsung has included some interesting innovations in the form of multiple sensors. Among them: a gyroscope, vector of rotation, an accelerator, a gravity sensor and even a barometer. Which is suggests a whole new generation of applications based on these new capabilities.
Immediate updates
The Nexus S also includes a NFC chip this enables you to read data from any object (from T-shirts with labels and stickers placed on any item). Something that opens the door to direct payment by mobile phone. If the technology becomes widespread, we can pay anything close to it, only the terminal and to authorize the operation.
But perhaps the biggest advantage of the new terminal is unlike many others based on Android, it will update immediately to the next versions of the operating system and use the new Google developments in the very moment they become available. Today is beyond the scope of android users, they must wait for months while manufacturers and operators give green light to software updates.
The Nexus S will be available in the U.S. on December 16 in the United States at a price of $ 529 or $ 199 term contract of two years with the operator T-Mobile.
