The VIA Nano X2 is designed for small form factor devices category, its dual core allowed to compete with Intel Atom and AMD Fusion.

These days, the platforms AMD Fusion and Intel’s Sandy Bridge are the talk of the world, but there are alternatives that should not go unnoticed by the type of deployment that manufacturers can get to make based on it.

We refer the new X2 Nano chip manufacturer by VIA, a solution which is dual core and it is focused on low-power compact systems. It is a variant Nano processor company formed by two cores, codenamed Isaiah inside. From VIA ensure that their behavior is much faster than Intel Atom on some tests, and offer low power consumption. This aspect has not been prejudiced by the arrival of dual-core model, say VIA, Which is also based in the manufacturing process of 40 nanometers.

The chip has enough horsepower to play video games and has quality of 720p. Both processor cores support the execution of 64-bit systems, superscalar processing systems, floating-point algorithms much more efficient. It also has extensions to optimize virtualization (VT CPU) and features Security collected by VIA Padlock hardware.

The Nano X2 pin-compatible with other VIA processors, including models VX900 and VN1000.

Richard Brown, director of marketing for the company, noted that “the new architecture comes when ripe and optimized for multi-core computing, with manufacturing processes that can double the number of processor cores while maintaining the same levels of consumption energy.

The chip is being OEM integrators currently distributed, So that the first products based on Nano X2 make appearances throughout the first half of this year.
