Imac 27 inch

Although a trickle, Apple’s new products are reaching their customers, and it seems that they are starting to report the first problems with the new 27 inch iMac. Have been open a couple of threads on the Apple discussion forums related to them.

The problem appears to be located only when playing video embedded in Web pages with Flash. The videos are displayed with slowdowns and excessive processor usage shot up over 100% shares. In reading the forums the first thing that came to mind was a problem of bad memory modules, but this can not happen with three different machines in a row.

One of those affected has seen his iMac was replaced on two occasions by a new one and the problem recurred under the same conditions. But there are several suspicious points in this whole affair that leads me to think we are not talking about a hardware problems, which is a relief as far as it goes.

Among all affected testimonials I have read, there is a common occurrence, and is really not something that happens immediately and after a prolonged period of reproduction. One of the first solutions to offer in the Apple forum, by a company employee, is to uninstall and reinstall the Adobe Flash Player, advising a restart and repair permissions.

The user concerned, thanks at first saying he had managed to solve the problems with your machine. But not until twenty minutes later when he returns to write in the forum saying that he has returned to reproduce the problems. His solution “home” is to reboot the iMac at first, until you realize that by introducing the computer to sleep and back on up, get these slowdowns disappear for a time interval.

All this points are some kind of “bug” in some of the hardware drivers which in my humble opinion might be found in graphics card (display) drivers or processor. Buyers of the new iMac can have the “comfort” of knowing that is more than likely that early firmware update can definitely eradicate this problem.

Of course, all these failures inevitably lead us to the much-touted increased discussion of errors perceptible suffering in every new Apple product launches. But maybe these are the problems of being constantly in the limelight and giving each new step is watched very closely, causing any failure is automatically published on many blogs around the world which is not warranted.
